2026 Work Days at the Ecumenical Community

Our volunteers are the heart of the ECOC. As a non-profit organization, we absolutely depend on the help of volunteers to continue to provide low-cost accommodations. Thank you to all who helped open up the Shaw, Bird-Werner, and Westervelt houses in June and close them down in late August and September. The ECOC would not be ready on time, nor continue to be in as good a shape without your help. Your time, effort, and skills are truly valued and appreciated.
Note: An individual who works a minimum of 16 hours total will receive priority consideration for making a reservation for the following season.

2026 Volunteer Opportunities

  • Pre-Season: Thursday-Sunday, June 11-14; Saturday-Thursday, June 20-25

Duties include painting, minor repairs and plumbing, window washing, gardening, cleaning, and opening up the rooms. There will be tasks for all skill levels. There is no charge for accommodation during the workdays.
Many hands make light work, and it’s a lot of fun, too! If you are interested, send an email to ECOCManagers@gmail.com.
To find out how you can volunteer in other ways, please see our Gift of Time page.
Thank you for all your support!
