ECOC Campaigns

The First Campaign, when Rev. Bill Brockman was President of the Board, –a Master Plan for future property improvements was developed. Architect Bill Laubscher provided the plans to improve the safety, use-ability and aesthetics of the buildings. The first campaign saw significant repairs to the Shaw foundation walls and major renovations to the kitchen.

The Second Campaign, under the Board Presidencies of Nathan Day Wilson and Sue Helm and with the very generous matching gift from Ed and Marge Johnston saw the addition of an elevator and fire stairs plus major renovations to the B/W kitchen, as well as adding a handicapped bathroom, and connecting hallway from Shaw to B/W.

The Current Campaign (which concludes December 31, 2016) has, to date accomplished the following: New BW external fire stairs, new BW porches, new railings on BW and Shaw porches, new fire egress corridor from Shaw to BW fire stairs, new fire doors in Shaw and BW kitchens. Jeff Vreeland, Board Member,  is the Construction Manager for all of these Current Campaign improvements.  Jeff's pro bono amazing expertise has been a blessing. Rev. Ed Hann has been president of the board during this period.

Thank you ECOC donors. We did it! Stay tuned for more to come in the years ahead. Your ECOC Board is committed to continuing to honor the legacy of the precious gift that was given to us by the Westervelt/Cook/Shaw family.
